As the beast howled in the darkness, shadows and plague spread fear into all mortals bearing witness. The crooked hostile creature stood hunched, its dripping fangs and corrupt eyes remained hidden, cloaked in shadow and fog. Reality seemed to slow down as though shards of numbing glass trickled down my spine, tearing into me almost like a painless death. With fear and adrenaline pouring through my body I almost felt completely empty and disorientated, sick with terror yet still ready, ready for the beast to make a move.
